Welcome message from Sally
Welcome to our Misdummer newsletter! I’m loving these long evenings - more time to go slug-hunting in my little garden. Did you know we ware approaching the 10th birthday of TDS? We really want to celebrate with you at our party on Thursday 11 July. |
Everyone is invited, whether you use our services, volunteer for us, are a professional who we work with - or simply a supporter in any way of the charity!
You can either attend the genteel part of the party, with afternoon tea, musical entertainment and games; or you can come to the later slot where we will have a pizza party with a disco vibe. I must ask that you do RSVP so that we can book our catering in good time.
We would love to have our more isolated members living with dementia there but on this occasion we are only able to pick up a very small number in our minibuses. We’d be thrilled if relatives can bring members if they can as we don’t want them to miss out.
Please also have a look at our day trip on Thursday 12 September! Once the children are back in school, we ‘ll go to Llandudno for a stroll down the pier, a look in the shops, and you may even be able to find yourselves a fish & chips lunch!
Do book on quickly as seats on our coach trips do go fast.
Sally

Our 10th Birthday Showcase at Manchester Central Library
This event was originally scheduled to take place on Thursday 4 July, but due to the later-announced General Election it has been rescheduled to Friday 6 September.
We will be hosting a prestigious showcase and retrospective at Manchester Central Library on Friday 6 September 2024.
Delegates will be invited to hear from illuminating speakers from the medical world, as well as people with lived experience of dementia or caring for a person living with dementia. There will also be uplifting performances from our dementia choirs.
We’ll look back on 10 years enabling people to live positively, maintain skills, and make new friends in Manchester, and we’ll look to the future of TDS, dementia support in our region, and advances in the medicine and research.
A light lunch and refreshments will be provided.
If you can’t make it on the day, we will be livestreaming the event.
The event is free to attend.
