Join us to celebrate 10 Years of Together Dementia Support

We invite you to join us on Friday 6th September, to celebrate a decade of Together Dementia Support with an exciting, uplifting and educational showcase.

We’d encourage you to share the experience - bring a friend or colleague. All are welcome.

We have become the leading dementia support charity in the region, despite a global pandemic and the challenges of charity fundraising. Our celebration showcase is both an opportunity to share some of what we have built and learnt in the past 10 years, and also a time to reflect on the need to do even more.

Join us in person at Manchester Central Library on Friday 6th September, from 12 to 3:30pm, or online to hear from members and carers, staff and trustees, and guest speakers as we look ahead to the next decade and the future of dementia support in Manchester.

Here’s a taster of what you can expect:

• Hear from our very own Carer Champions and Fabulous Forgetful Friends, reflecting on their lived experiences of dementia

• Two fantastic keynotes speakers - Dr Ross Dunne from Manchester’s Brain Health Clinic, discussing brain health and new treatments for Alzheimer’s and Amal Morsi from Dementia United reflecting on pioneering change in dementia care

• A showcase of our new film - sharing the stories of TDS community

• Explore how local businesses and employers can help improve dementia support in Manchester

• Experience the power of live music with our superb Together in Song Choir!

• Hear from our wonderful staff team, trustees and volunteers

Here at Together Dementia Support, we know that meaningful and impactful dementia support takes a village - it takes a whole community of dedicated carers, staff and volunteers. We are incredibly proud of all we’ve achieved in the past 10 years, and we are privileged to have been a part of so many lives. And whilst we don’t know what the future holds, we do know that Together We Are Strong.
